yeah be careful when buying online sometimes you might be cheated also don't buy from clearence rack either i had that problem to with a harry potter train set from BACHMANN the coulper kept breaking.

yeah if you want you could even get a small starter set and make a small layout with the engines you have.

i agree with all of you  about the first three models  being  redone.

it is the lionel large scale james the red engine set, i also have one and it will be very valuable. i've had mine since i was a kid( both the  thomas and james sets)

no dcc on my layout but mine just heats up because i have to run him at 50+ for him to go tracks are clean. short jerks in the begining but none after that

mine isn't smoking yet! but mine smells weird too.
