And youmight want to place horseshoe type connectors on the wires before going to the transformer.  A tighter connection!

I am going to replace with FastTrack.  I have a 5 inch straight in each curve, so the O-36 will work!

Is a "big hook" next?  I'm planning to get this car for my black Lionel BH, and MOW cars!

I did get a Jerry SL tender for my Lionel turbine.  got the PRR unit for $50.00 and runs like a champ.  Both run with Lionel MPC 9500 cars.

Checked parts.  Don't have them for sale.  (yet?)

Sometimes my horn is going off in my GG1.  I am using an MTH750 with the IR remote.  Track is RK Real Tracks, no switches.  Seems to sound off at low votages.  Shut engine down, restart, no problems.  What is causing the bell to activate.

In the GP 9 era, you need to know what the real railroad did in terms of which hood was forward.  And some, which used the 9's in comute service, had DUAL controls in the cab, so EITHER way is correct.  SP was one of these.

I'm thinking Sluethe, for I think that is the company's smoke unit in the caboose.

Lionel did make a 6464 sized REA boxcar with TrainSounds.  If there is a way to reduce the volume of the SG tender to 0, then that might be an easier work around.

Actually, there were SEVERAL makers of such headlights.  Mars was best known for its figure 8 pattern.  People call all of them Mars, no matter who made them.

Lione does have a "sound activation button" for transformers without sound buttons.  Should work with AF transformers.  watch how you wire.  Depending on how the black and red wires aare connected to the transformer, you will get horn or bell, but not both!

That is S-70 railcars!
