Age: ????

I am having some sound issues with W/WBB engines with the Z750.  I don't know if:

1.  Power from transformer?
2.  The Rail King track.  the center rail has a coat of paint on it, and the third rail shoes spark on it.  It might be producing "DC", and making the odd sounds.  My SD90, Train Master, and GG1 all have issues on this combo.

I don't have any issues with the above with TMCC Conv. using a TPC-300.

In the late '70's, I did see a REAL GP in Ft Worth, from the Amtrak LONE STAR.  Enjoy!

Actually, the MKT DID have yellow boxcars.  Used for express service as head end cars in passenger trains.  However, the doors were yellow, not blue!

The GP has 4 wheels per truck powered, on track.  SD, EF-4, U-boats, FM's, and Dash 9's have 6 wheel trucks, but only 4 are powered.  But most of the weight are on the powered 4.  But my SD does outpull anything else I have!

I have W/WBB Sd45 and 90's.  I run TMCC conv.  TMCC in Conv. does have a chopped sine.  but in Conv. and using a Cab -1 and Poweremaster, you can set things like stall  custom for each engine.  Problem is, you have to reset it for each engine change.  But you can custom power you conv. items, open frame of can.

I like the sound W/WBB make:  the sound of the train wheels on the rails.  Real trains make those sounds too!

A GP will have all weight on 4 wheels.  SD have weight on 6, but only 4 are powered.

But my SD45 will do what the SP wanted of the real thing:  Pull like a mule, run like a deer!

Now, about PanAm and KCS units?

Run like a deer, pull like a mule.

Atlas ads say it is solid.  But it may not work with Magne-traction!

Jerry did have some Amtrak Superliners at one time.  Will WBB go "Beech Grove" and build some?

(Beech Grove is thge place Amtrak has heavy shops in IN>)

The Sd45 and 90's have the same type of motors and trucks.  the 45 seems"heavier" to me, though.  But I do run the UP Katy 90 with 6 AL Texas Specail cars with the Lionel 2245 "B" unit.  If L can come up with a NYC Superliner set with a 90 Mac, I can make my own TS set.

Anyway, I have figured out the two reds on the Katy.  One red shade is pass, the other is freight.

I've run 6 15" AL cars behind an SD90MAC!
