im having a similar problem with toby and also with james/gordon james runs slow period but gordon runs fine except they all have got this really weird oder to them like when you soder something together please let me know if this is something to worry about and if my toby is defected too.

i didnt have this with gordon but with my percy. similar prob but didnt smoke he only heated up and ran slow

i have an atlas turntable and Gordon and Henry both fit coupler and tender Spencer however doesn't do to an extra wheel on the tender hope this helps

 i have atlas code 100 switches and mine don't stop on the switch
