Thomas & Friends / Re: Thomas Fan series

No problem. I'm always here if ya need me :) Yes, if I do end up getting Knapford, it will be incorporated into a set. So far I've built one set and ended up using all of my foam board, so I'm not sure when I will be making another one :P It's my version of the works, and it was specially built for filming episode two, which hasn't been started yet as I still haven't released The Trouble with the Twins, but it should be up today if all goes well! :)

Oh, I see. I thought Tomix had the license here in the US too, but how the heck should I know for how rare their Thomas models are :P

But as long as Tomix is still holding the N-Scale license, would Bachmann be able to produce a narrow gauge range?

Would Bachmann be able to produce the Skarloey engines if they don't have the license to produce N-Scale Thomas and Friends products? Technically the range would be HOn3/009, but I'm just curious. That kind of has me a bit puzzled.

Can't wait! Your videos are always great and look as if I'm watching the real series again. I do have a few questions for you. 1. Do you plan on expanding your layout?
                                              2. Do you think I should completley delete my series and restart it? If you compare my first episode to the most recent one, (the one in the link) then you will see what I mean. It started out as a comedy series, then it sort of went into a HiT style writing, and now it is slowly dissolving back to the Railway series. I think you were much smarter to start yours later. I still think mine is very low quality and I am considering starting a new series called: Sodor and its Railways. I wouldn't start it until my new layout is finished. I am thinking about stopping the episodes for awhile and just kind of.....doing things like Layout updates, and reviews. I know this is a long post and I'm sorry you have to read it, but what is your opinion?   :-\
Thanks! :) As much as I'd love to expand, I don't have the room to, but I'm hoping to build a few small sets, and a friend of mine has a decent layout that I'm sure I can use if needed :) And honestly, I don't think so. I really enjoy watching your videos! I made the mistake of deleting all my original episodes from YouTube, and when my old computer crashed I lost all of them, so I can't even go back and watch them to compare  :-\ If you really wanted to start over, I'd suggest keeping all your videos on YouTube and then upload all your newer ones as you go. Then you can compare and watch your progress :)

Don't worry, it will be ;) I had to find a new narrator as Matt has too much on his plate to handle at the moment, otherwise the episode would have been released 3 weeks ago :P But no biggy, everything is fine, and the episode will hopefully be released by this coming Saturday :)

As the models would be based off of the current series, and I would tend to think some sets would be like this:

-Skarloey Set: Skarloey with two red coaches and a guard's van; oval of track
-Petersam Set: Petersam with two slate trucks and a goods van; circle of track
-Day at the Wharf Set: Thomas, two coal trucks, brake van, Rheneas (or basically any other engine. I'd imagine possibly Skarloey more than any other engine, though), flat bed, open wagon, and a goods van; HO/OO9 crossover with a figure-8 (one track would have to be elevated so that the lines could intersect again, unless two crossovers were included), and Colin the Crane

I'd rather only get a few presents than what I usually get. I feel like a spoiled brat  :P

I accidentally found my presents while rummaging through our utility closet...(face palm) I didn't look through everything, but what I ended up seeing was:

-Donald
-Douglas
-Gordon
-Henry
-Old Style Mail Car (was planning on turning it into a CCT van, but since Bachmann changed the logo, I've decided to keep this one as it is. I may end up buying myself a new one and painting it, but idk.)
-Cargo Car (planning to make Fred Pelhay out of this one and leave my other one as it is)
-LS James
-LS Oil Tank
-LS Fuel Tank
-LS Milk Tank

There is also a Bachmann UK box in there, but I'm not sure what it is. It's either a V3, an Ivatt 2MT, or a Crab. I'm not really sure which. I'm guessing Diesel is also somewhere in there, but I'm not that sure. Either way, it'll be a good Christmas as usual this year :)

Quoting Thomasj219, that explains why the blue open wagon came out before the red one ;)

i have a bone to pick with bachmann; the wheels are awfulllllllyyyyyy small compared to his huge face and tall body, and plus the side rods move way to quickly... and i just dont get this;
If you compare the model to a clip of Diesel in the CGI series, you'll see that Bachmann's model is very accurate with the small wheels, large face, and fast moving siderods.

you are telling me that i should find what  the products code for Thomas holiday special set is Right  ???
never mind, you'll just have to wait till Christmas and for people to start selling the Christmas Thomas separate. I just remembered he's specially made to have the snow plough connect to him. The standard Thomas doesn't have the special holes under him.
Some of the newer ones do. I was at my local hobby store and the Thomas they had in the Thomas' Fun with Freight Set had the holes/tabs on the bottom.

Duck
Oliver
BoCo
Toad
Red Branchline Coaches

They seem to be the most popular choices lately :P
