I dont understand what makes them terrible,

I think what is meant there is they are usually known as the terrible twins, not the models are terrible.  :D

If he's stopped working altogether (no movement at all whatsoever etc) then you might have to send him back...

Here's mine:

The seperate base measures 10.5cmx11cmx1cm

Cranky himself (without the arm up) measures 20cm (not on the seperate base of course)

Hope this helps

I'm surprised that Bachmann haven't done that for the 00 models yet- BIG market opportunity being missed there.

Nope, is just pushed along. Might a bit out of scale, but for those who can't scratchbuild or think of anything similar, might do temporarilly...

An exhbition i went to last year had an Ertl model on a small chasis being pushed along.
The wheels do overhand, bit if you can change that, you might get something....

I'd like Lady.
Ok yes, she's one of the characters who has had very few appearances, but there IS a demand for her it would appear. A lot ofyoung kids I feel would see her and be attracted to getting the model because of the Golden colours on her Dome, wheels, writing etc. She's just an all round great model I think. I'm certain that Bachmann would do well with her if they made her.

ANYWAY, I assume by NEW you mean socket plug-in couplings? In which case no- they appear to be the same screw-to-chasis ones that all the Thomas models get.

Hm.
MORE characters. Ah well. Asides from that, it seems to be okish. The red engine reminds me of Dennis. Could this be a clue?

Not sure if anyone else has commented about this- there is a slight difference on the faces- the eyebrows.
Donald has slightly pointed top ones, whilst Douglas has smooth curved ones.
Not a major difference, but one  nonetheless. Would've been nice with two different smiles, but as I keep saying, at least we have models

Belle is based on a Standard Class 4 (4MT) 2-6-4 tank loco, one of BR's most successful designs I believe. She's the class up from Arthur's 3mt design

As the product description says:

More kits can be combined to make larger station configurations.

Looks ok. I agree more would have to be bought to make a better knapford, but please remember that these are aimed at younger kids than the majority of the people who post here I believe. They are just meant to resemble, not be the exact accurate building, otherwise the price would be astranomical!

Well, too say I was expecting Diesel wouldn't be completely tue, but I had a hunch he was in for the running. If they release another engine with him (preferably Duck) this year too, that'd be great, but be thankful that Bachmann have done what they have for us so far.
Although, to get some more rolling stock would be good too. But one step at a time eh? Don't get everything now, otherwise we run out of things to look forward to.

I agree that the front looks a little out-of-proportion (to me, just looks a little too tall, and sits too high of the chasis), but hey we have models! I'm happy for that!
Looking forward to getting mine...
