Sidney is one of those characters who never got to be a character....
No no no...Sidney is a character. He just hasn't had a role yet.

I believe that's Paxton who is in the movie, not Sidney.

Actually, Gordon was the test loco for Gresley's pacifics, his class being A0.

One thing that always drove me nuts about Bachmann's James is the fact of how big and bulky he is. In accordance with the TVS, he should not be taller than Gordon, and he should basically be Edward's size, especially his width, which contributes to the problem of his buffers not being placed close enough to the outer edge of his running plate.

Same! James always kinda confused me. I never quite felt the Arrogant James that was shown in the model. I think revisions of this model, if they should decide to revise any, James first :) TF247, is Edward your fav. engine? My fav. is him.
He's one of my favorite Bachmann locos, but Thomas will still always be my favorite :P

From my knowledge, it is unknown, but all I know is his original shape was a mix between an A1 Pacific and a C1 Atlantic.

Yes I thought that, but I'm almost positive the character returning is Duke, so no worries.

According to my friend from the forums, it's not an Awdry created character that is returning.

My current speculations are these:

Harvey
Murdoch
Dennis -Norman is his twin, so it would make sense...
BUT it is highly rumored on the Wikia that Duke is returning.

If Duck would be the returning classic character in season 16 (which I believe is false, as according to the WiKia Duke is said to possibly be returning) a new face would have already been rendered for him by Nitrogen. Mattel would probably supply Bachmann with the new face. I'm not saying that will happen, as Duck probably isn't the returning character, but it's just a possible suggestion.

Bachmann isn't the only company who knows what will be released. HiT is in charge of that, and SiF gets updates on the Thomas world first hand from HiT more often than not. Simon is part of SiF, so if they were told about Duck's announcement through HiT, then it's true. I'm not saying that that's the case, but it seems more than believable to me.

*EDIT: HiT no longer owns Thomas & Friends. Mattel does, I forgot :P

He was also absent for season 8.

Also remember that the season 12 faces on the models were dramatically altered when making the full CGI switch. For example, Arry and Bert's season 12 faces were PUNY compared to their full CGI faces. Compare this photo of their season 12 faces:

...to their full CGI counterparts:

This holds true for all the other characters as well, including Thomas. Just look at this:

VERSES

So, even if Bachmann does decide to use a CGI face for Duck, I'm sure it would be far better compared to the sad excuse of a face that HiT gave Duck in season 12. Though I highly doubt this will happen, ya never know what HiT will do :P
