HO / Spectrum 4-6-0 front truck problems,
October 05, 2011, 07:16:16 PM
My new 4-6-0 front truck has had a problem of derailing.  After relaying track to be sure all was snug I finally looked at the front truck and saw that there was No spring or tenson piece to help hold it down. I "think" I have solved the problem by wrapping a single strand of solder around the truck,  Not an elegant solution but it can not be seen unless the engine is turned over.

Seems to me it should have a spring or tension to hold the wheels down on the track,

Anyone else have this problem and how did you solve it.

This is a hook and eye sysen with the hook from the loco going under the eye on the tender.  The hook in mine slips out easily and I find the loco pulling the tender by the wires.  Is there a solution to this problem?

Thanks, Hank
