Williams by Bachmann / Whistle Tenders
November 20, 2008, 10:08:32 PM
This is in the ORG Boards.  Somebody has a Williams tender where the whistle keeps going off without touching a whistle button.

I have a separate tender which does the same thing.

I do know a tender going over a swith could cause it to see DC and "blow".  How about dirty track?

Also, how about a spst switch for the whistle so you can cut it out?

Williams by Bachmann / FP45's
October 16, 2008, 11:09:00 PM
I would like to see the FP45 in:

Original ATSF passenger, with SMALL ATSF lettering.  These could be used to pull some early Amtrak trains running on ATSF.

Amtrak never had the FP45's, but the '45 could be used as a stand in for the SDP40F.  I would like to see onw with the arrows on the side as they came out in 1973.

Thanks!

Williams by Bachmann / WBB True RTR Train Sets

How about mkaking a true RTR train set:  Engine,  cars, track, transformer.   WBB are great runners without the electronic mature!  They would sell!

Williams by Bachmann / Engines squeaking when stopping
August 29, 2008, 12:45:27 AM
This is a thread over on the OGR Boards.

There seems to be some Williams engines which seem to have a squealing noise when they are stopping.  Have you heard about this, and is there a simple solution like oiling something?

Thanks,

Will Bachman dealers automaticly become WBB dealers?  Maybe not have all of the product but can get it in a day or two.  Would be a help for me!

Williams by Bachmann / Body Mount Screws on SD90's
August 10, 2008, 08:01:23 PM
What size screws do you use on the SD90MAC's to connect the body to the frame?

Thanks,

I have noticed two Williams variations on 15" streamlined cars:

1.  Couplers:

a.  Early cars have "thumbtack" couplers.

b.  Recent ones have a more Postwar type of coupler arm.

2.  TEXAS SPECIAL paint:

a.  Early ones have paint like the MKT/SL-SF cars:  mostly red.  Coupler:  Thumbtack

b.  Later ones are silver with 2 red strips of red:  Mostly silver.  Coupler:  PW.

Questions:

When did J. Williams:

1.  Change the coupling system?

2.  Change paint on the TEXAS SPECIAL?

Thanks!

Williams by Bachmann / UP 4141, KCS/M

OK, the WWB UP Heritage units are out.  Got the Katy one.  Great.  Runs well.  Drive train very quiet.

Now, how about these units:

UP 4141, the President "H" Bush loco.

KCS/M  "Southern Belle" units, in F and SD70ACe.  OK, I would buy a freight unit in SD90MAC

Williams by Bachmann / The On3 Refer
March 28, 2008, 09:07:48 PM
I know the only 3R items in sight so far are the WBB line.  But that On3 refer would be nice as a standard gauge item in both 2R and 3R O!
