Large Scale Crossing Gates

Bachmann's large scale crossing gates indicate that they are "weatherproof".  The tracks appear to be steel.  Are they going to rust like Bachmann's G scale track?  How well will they survive outdoors in dirt, dust, ice etc?  Does anyone have one, or are they really not released as yet?  Will Bachmann have one at ECLSTS?  Spring is finally here!

The track will rust, but it is easy to replace it with an lgb one foot section, or other make might have to modify a couple of the ties.
