I am new to the board and have a fewf older Bachmann locomotives, so I may have some interesting questions.

Right now, I need help getting the part number for a 2-10-4 Santa Fe locomotive. The number on the tender is 3781 and it has 4 wheels on

the a front truck and 10 wheels mounted on the body of the tender.

The coupler portion that is mounted on the locomotive crystalized and broke and I would very much like to replace the part.

Do you mean the fake knuckle coupler mounted on the pilot of the loco?  If so you can probably use any current knuckle coupler if you don't want it operational.  If you want it to operate, you will need to do some cutting and filing.
