I'm building a layout using e-z track and want to use this module for a trolley line that goes in my downtown area will it work and what other items will i need for smooth operation?

Dear DRG,
The reverse loop module will work only with DCC. So for your specific layout, if you have a reverse loop and DCC, then yes. However, many trolley trackplans have multiple loops, so without more information, a definite answer is difficult.
