Hello all

Has anyone else noticed what the number on the Baldwin builders plate on both the Forney and 2-8-0 is 3972, now what is the significance?

Baldwin 3972 is a 36" 4-4-0 which is preserved at the Smithsonian Institution. Named Jupiter and built by the Baldwin Loco Works in 1876.

So maybe the Bach-Man has had a liking for a 4-4-0 for longer than most realise.

I hope this is of interest.

That's some pretty good detective work, David.

maybe its a clue!
maybe Bachmann is trying to tell us "Paul is Dead" and you found the first clue! (in this case, the "Paul is Dead" clue could mean a future On30 3-foot 4-4-0 is on the way?!)  ;) :D
