Porter Coupler replacement

Kadee lists #796 as the replacement on their list. They call for #831 on the conversion instructions. What coupler have you guys used successfully on the 0-4-0?

I used an 835 on the rear and a 779 ib the front.  (Actually Sam Clarke at Kadee did the conversion--they're just over the mountain from me.   gj

Kadee suggested to me that the 787 couplers would work on the Porters. I haven't tried them yet . Has anybody tried the 787.
