Extra wire harnesses

I just bought a Medium size Bachmann Vandy tender
and found an extra set of wiring harnesses in the box
Anyone know why they are there

Yes.  THE "medium" Vandy works electrically with both the Consolidation and the USRA light Mountain, but one has wires coming from loco and the other the tender.  The wiring harness solves that problem.
