2-8-0 Consolidation Large Scale Loco

When operating on my "Train Engineer" powered layout the front and rear lights do not operate and the firebox is not on!  Any thoughts?  Thanks

Do the lights act properly on other layouts?
Do you have the TE trackside receiver set on Linear or Pulse Width?

The lights etc do not operate on either setting of TE.  Thanks for the response.

Do you have another engine, and do the lights work on that one?

Good question. Yes I have a 2 truck Bachmann Shay and the lights work.  Bill

Since the lights on the Shay work, we can rule out the TE as being the problem.  I suspect that there is a bad lighting circuit on the 2-8-0.  Could be as simple as a broken wire, maybe at the circuit board.   I am not familiar with the 2-8-0  circuit board, but if you can find a loose or broken wire that is probably it.  Hopefully one of the electronics guys can take if from here.  Sorry I can't be more helpful.
