shay help

oh i have a small dc set up but i can get my shay to work on it. i just get the head light turn on. I also have a goose that works fine on my track.

any help please?

What power supply are you using? I notice on my Shay that if I slowly turn up the power from zero the light comes on before the loco starts moving. So if only a little power was getting through, what you describe would happen. I don't know how much power a Goose needs as I don't have one.

Is there any noise to suggest that the motor is running but not driving the wheels? Does everything look connected?
