Actually if its a Shay superstructure with Kitson Meyer underpinnings built by Oeste would that make it a Oeste-Shay-Kitson-Meyer, or even a Oeste-Lima-Kitson-Meyer.

actually no..not anymore anyway.
it may have once been a GP9B, but based on the photo it is clearly now a slug.
all the radiator grills have been filled it.
so technically in the photo, its not a GP9B.

I think I found it..
Early UP slugs, built from GP9B's in the 1970's
numbers S1 - S6.
perhaps UP's first slugs?
they dont even seem to have a model designation..known as simply "yard slugs".

so as to identifying the loco model, the correct answer would be "a UP yard slug, built from a former GP9B"
but it wouldnt be correct to say its actually a GP9B.

Alex/Guilford Guy- this is a really excellent thread. As I am new to it can you explain what happens about the previous pictures that were not guessed ? Did I see something about them lapsing if not guessed within 24 hours ?
