I am running two # 6 turn out right ho scale E-Z track to create a spur track. I have two rerailers running through a atlas selector switch to isolate the power. When I flip the switch both tracks loose power. I need one track to have power while the other is shut down to store another engine. I use this same set up on my life like and it works fine. The Bachmann turn out uses a metal frog while the life like uses a plastic frog, this is the only difference I can see. How do I make this work? thanks Gary.

Try switching the wires coming out of the track selector?

Do you have insulated joints to isolate both tracks?

The Atlas Selector is a bank of 4 SPDT center off switches. You should have each spur wired to a seperate switch on the selector. If you don't have seperate switches for each track, it will not work the way you intended.

Are you using the Bachmann plug in wiring to those terminal rerailers? If so, did you make sure that the wires to each are plugged in with the proper orientation? With the selector, one rail is a common return, with the other rail connected to the switches. If you've accidentally flipped one of the plugs, it would short out the track every time you powered up the track.
