Multiple ovals, one command center

Hi! I am making an oval on top of an oval of ez track. I have an dcc command center, and wondering if I connect the command to one terminal rerailer, and then connect that rerailer to another rerailer, will it control locomotives on each layer using dcc and remember the addresses?

I believe so but you have to make sure that you have the polarity right on both of those track connection or you will have a short circuit.  In other words, you have to get the plug into the terminal Railer flipped in the right direction. If you plug it in and the train doesn't run, flip 180° and replug.

I agree with what trainman said. The way DCC works, as long as the polarity is correct (i.e. no shorts) and it can communicate with each decoder, it doesn't care where on the layout the decoder (i.e. locomotive) is.

This is such a helpful forum!  I have the same situation with 2 separate ovals in an over/under set up.  I converted one of them to DCC a few months ago with EZ Command plus.  Ive been trying to figure out a good way to connect them with crossovers and turnouts ever since so I could run 2 DCC locos.  But everything I laid out resulted in having to expand the layout by a lot.  Im going to do that eventually anyway, but in the mean time connecting the re-railers works.  I just did it and tested it out.  I couldn't find that Bachmann sold a re-railer to re-railer connector, so I found two old re-railer to power pack connectors, cut them in half and spliced the 2 re-railer ends together.  Its a simple solution that I may not have thought of on my own.  Thanks!
