Bachmann GE U36B

I have a first gen Bachmann GE U36B.  The engine or armature went on it. It started sparking and then went dead. It blows the the breaker now inside the power pack. I tried to clean the brushes and the armature with electrical contact cleaner. It didn't do anything. Is there a new engine for these or a upgrade for them that I can buy. I am in Canada. I just got back in to model railway again.

I like these old locomotives.

I tried to upload some images but it said the upload folder is full. I tried uploading to files 1 is 127 kb the other is 125 kb neither went through.
