ho scale ez track dc turnouts

im new to the hobby but wanting to run blocks on  my layout i have three bachmann ez track turnouts do i need to install the plastic rail joiners any certain spot or just on the one rail im isolating im using the common rail method

You only need to use the insulating joiners on one rail. Just make sure it's the same rail throughout the layout.  I usually place my insulating joiners on the frog end of the switches where i need to insulate.
