Some years ago I bought a MRC2K that had five throttles and could run five DCC locos and one DC loco, similar to the EZ Command. Best I could do was one DCC, maybe two, and one DC as a pusher. It could program the loco number but nothing else. I thought I was doing ok. I thought I was saving money. But when a decoder got flaky, I could not reset it. I gave the system away and bought a NCE Power Cab and never looked back. What a difference. Don't get me wrong, I had fun but the system had short comings.
You will realize you are stuck when you get a flaky decoder or buy a used loco with a decoder that needs adjusting. I thought about that later.

My EZ Command didn't last me 8 months. All it did was make me realize DCC was the way to go, and the EZ Command wasn't up for the trip.

I quickly switched to an MRC Prodigy Adv. Squared. Full functions, all features and can have it's operating system upgraded by MRC to keep it current.

I still use my E-Z Command for my Christmas layouts. EZ to operate.
