Spectrum Dash 8-40CW coupler upgrade

I just got this and find it's equipped with old style couplers. I'd like to install newer ones and notice EZ mates come in short, medium and long shanks. I'm new to this and wonder if someone might be able to advise me on how to proceed. Thanks much.
