What is the boiler jacket supposed to say on the badly photoshopped double-pic of the 2-6-6-2 and the "2-6-6-2T"

Technical correction - The ACL loco is a 2-4-2, sometimes referred to as a Columbia type.  Common type for small switchers and tank engines, very rare as a main line road engine.

The "W & W RR" on the bunker extensions stands for "Wilmington & Weldon RR", where #154 was first assigned. On the ACL they were the I-2 class, maybe because there were only two of them. They were in service for almost 40 years.

Although this is called the "Washington-Western ", I remember  it being called the  "Washington AND Western " as well.  Saw these beat up steam engines running several times back then.
