45-ton engine truck wiring

I bought one of these engines years ago because it ran really well. I disassembled it and took one of the trucks and built a critter over it (before Bachmann released their Davenport engine). I now have the other truck and I want to use it for something else. But, it won't run because it isn't wired up.

As it came from the factory, there are four brass pads on the top of the truck in a circular pattern that would connect to the circuit board in the engine. I think I need to jumper the pads to get it to run, but I don't remember what pad goes to what and I don't want to screw it up. I didn't locate the schematic on this website, or that might have helped.

Anyone remember how to wire up the truck to run independently?

Thanks.

Kevin Strong

Look at the four pads as points on a compass. Wire North to East, South to West. Voila! If it runs backwards compared to your other trains, wire North to West, and South to East.
