Hello all,
I've bought 4 weeks ago a brand new Tsunami decoder AE32016 for the 2-6-6-2 loco. I exchanged it against the existing decoder. I'm not able to program the decoder. I'm using a Roco Lokmaus. A friend of mine has a ZIMO station and a Lenz station, but also no success. Is it possible that decoder is defect? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

I have a Lenz controller and several 2-6-6-2's with and without sound,, factory installed, and i have no problems programming.

Thanks Ton,
but that doesn't help much. With the normal decoder (w/o sound) it's running fine. So how high is the chnace that the decoder is broken?

Can you read CV values on the programming track?
If it doesn't write or read on several brands of controllers i would say the chance is high that it was DOA.

Btw i can't find the number AE32016 anywhere.
can you tell me where to find that decoder?

GermanBigboy

Hello Ton,
thanks for the answer. We can read some CVs out but don't change them.
I found the decoder here:
http://estore.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66_698&products_id=10466
I also bought the speaker that is listed.

Holger,I Just opened one of my 2-6-6-2's with sound and I found the decoder you described.
Just a thought, have a look in the tech manual at CV 30 and CV 15 and 16.
Has to do with locking or unlocking the CV's.

Hello Ton,
I will try that and let you know the result. But it will take some time.
