Climax running questions

I just set up my new Climax for the first time (running around the Xmas tree, based on a prototype in New Hampshire)...I've noticed that the motor is fairly noisy. Is this normal? 
I'm running in DC right now, w/ the MRC Railpower 1370 (http://modelrectifier.com/search/product-view.asp?ID=1291).  Does this DC power supply not provide enough power for the Climax?

Mine was noisey at first, it just need running in. A christmas tree layout is just the thing for this, going round and round.

I cant wait to set up my christmas On30 layout. I need my dad to get the tree out.

*phew* thanks   i didn't want to have to get a sound decoder for this, since it will only be out for a month each year.
