Smoke unit on headlight does not work, smoke unit off headlight works!

Hello Bach-mann,

I have a Holiday Special Set that I am having trouble with the headlight on the engine.  I notice that when I start the train the headlight comes on and works fine.  When the train makes one lap around the track the headlight turns off.  Yesterday I turned the smoke switch to the off position because I ran out of smoke fluid, well I notice that when I did this the headlight came on and stayed on for the hour or so that I ran the train.  Is this normal operation, or is there something wrong between the headlight and the smoke unit?  Let me know.

More than likely the switch is either miswired or going bad.
Could be a bad connection feeding the switch.
If you pull the bottom cover, on VER5 chassis there are two screws forward of the motor that are junction points.
Make sure they are tight first.
