I recently purchased a "The Night Before Christmas" Big Hauler with a 4-6-0 Steam Locomotive. There is a light fixture on the front of the engine that lights up. There is one on the back of the coal car that does not light up and I don't if it is supposed to or not.

The back light is not a working light.

That's kind of what I figured.
Thanks and have a very merry Christmas.

FYI, it's not a "coal car", on a steam engine, it's called a "tender".

Not all tender back up lights are made to work.  :(

Merry Christmas.

"Coal car"........ I haven't heard that in years.

It easy to make that rear light work, and only come on in reverse.

I do it using a led and a 680ohm resistor

NMJeff, I am interested in doing the light also, I am running DC. Would you mind explaining how you wired it?
