Are there any books that were written about Canadian narrow gauge railroads?
Other than the Klasco & Slocan(I have that)

"Steel Rails & Silver Dreams"  Dolly Varden & Grandby operations at Alice Arm & Anyox BC
" Narrow Gauge Railways of Canada"  All of Canada
" The Bonanza Narrow Gauge Railway"   Klondike Mines Railway
1/2 Dozen+ at Least on the White Pass
        Lenora Mount Sicker

I know there are a least a 1/2 dozen on the Newfoundland system, and there may be others covering
Eastern Canadian Railways that I am not awhere of.

Don't forget the Newfoundland Ry, later CN that kept it 42" gauge till the end (early '70's, if memory serves).

Switzerland is a great railfan place.  Granted, I haven't been there in about 20 years but I expect there hasn't been a great deal of change except for modernization of equipment.  I believe there are still a couple of steam-powered rack lines, and much of the Glacier Express route involves rack running as well on meter gauge.  I doubt that any of the "Baby Crocodiles" are still in service.  Only saw one on a passing train with no chance to try and get a pic.  BTW, you will find a lot of folks who speak English over in Europe so it is not too tough to get around.
