I have the Rail Chief and I've added several feet of track. I'm still running the power supply that came with it, should I upgrade the power soon? And should I start to add wires to the track?

it doesn't hurt to add more track feeders. but unless you are running more than one locomotive there is no reason to upgrade that power pack just yet. eventually, you may want to consider an upgraded pack with finer speed control, or a dcc system.
