At a recent train show, I purchased the EZ Track starter set and a Digitrax controller.  The terminal wiring supplied by EZ Track does not connect to the screw-type ports on the Digitrax.  Can I remove the two-pronged plug on the EZ Track wiring, strip the ends and connect to the controller?  Conversely, should I try to return the controller and purchase a Bachman unit.

Also, there was no instruction in the package about use of the switch controllers.  Do the switches receive power from the track connections, or do they need to be otherwise wired?  There are two prongs on either side of the controller.  What is their purpose?

Thanks.

Keep the Digitrax, IF you have DCC locomotives.   That track will work just fine and like you suggested, strip the wires of else get some new wire without connectors.
If your locomotives/engines do not have DCC, they will not run.   But DCC is the preferred way to go, especially if you want sound too.
