Bought an  Alaskan McKinley kit 8/9 years ago will travelling on the real McKinley from Fairbanks to Anchorage.. Just connected it up again after many years for the next batch of kids and trains run fine.  But...

what is the proper way to disconnect the tracks?.  I pull hard but an afraid to pull too hard.  Have lost the instructions.  don't want to break a connector..

Any advice..

Thanks

I tend to wiggle them back & forth horizontally while  pulling them apart .  They are basically held together by the  track joiners  and the plasic hooks beneath the road bed. J2

I tend to do the same as J2. The plastic hooks are beveled so when you rock them back and fourth they release easily. I do have some that broke off but that's ok as they still hold together with the joiners and I have my track glued also.
