G Scale Thomas the tank engine running on a DCC track

Hi all
I have just purchase the Thomas the tank engine large scale start set to build a Christmas scene for my grandchildren.
The idea is once Christmas is over I will start to build garden train layout.
I would like to convert the train to a DCC setup.
Is it possible to convert the train and can someone give any Idea how to do it ?
Help I the matter would be appreciated.

Since thomas has no lighting or sound, it is a matter of aquiring a decoder and hooking up the track leads to the input on the decoder and the two motor leads to the motor output on the decoder.  Thomas is easy to work on!!
