Does anyone have information or pictures of the new designed metal drive gears and improved pilot truck for the Bachmann Large scale 4-6-0?

Model Tug

Bachmann.
Will the metal gears retrofit to earlier editions of the 4-6-0?

Probably, not likely.  The better question will be if the later drive will fit into an older model BH?

Dear Barry,

As you are the go-to guy, is there now a newer version than V.5 for the Annie?  My last Annie is a WF.  Saving my shekels to get a BBT !

Best Wishes,

Jack

Jack,

The newest version of the drive is the one with the new pilot truck and metal gears.  for the historical record I am calling this new drive Version 6 chassis.  Thyere were no other chassis upgrades between the 2000 Version 5 and this one which will be released in late 2011.

What I am wondering is will they also put the new drives in the Big Hauler line as well.  When the version 5 chassis came out in the Annie it was also used in all sets with Big Hauler 4-6-0's made for 2000 and after.

In addition to Barry's question there are others.

Another huge question is: Did they use Barry's gearbox and pilot truck mod as the model for this new chassis?

The second huge question is will the new chassis really be a good runner???   Only time will tell.

Cheers!!

The mods to the chassis are still in the development stage. They are Bachmann designs.

Bill,

I agree that this new drive should be labeled V. 6.

I can't wait to see one (the drive, that is).

Thanks Yardmaster.

What is the expected delivery Date?

Will the new drive also go into Big Haulers in new set Production?

Barry,

OK Version 6 is what we will call it for sure!
