Bachmann F7 A&B DCC State

What is the DCC state of play for the latest run Bachmann F7 AB unit. Are they DCC Ready, DCC fitted or DCC unfriendly. The online parts diagram shows them to be basically the latter. Could someone please confirm.

They are of a split frame design. They are not DCC or DCC ready. At best they are "DCC unbiased", with the split frame design you would have fun isolating everything, if you are experienced with this type of thing then go for it. But unless you have a good amount of experience I would wait until you get some experience hard wiring decoders into more DCC friendly locos before trying in this loco. You would probably need to mill some of the lead weight to make room for the decoder.
