I asked this once before and never got an answer, so I'll try again. Can someone tell me the specs (votage, current, whatever) for the LEDs used in the Annie's headlights?

Not sure if this will help, but the headlights have a resistor in series with them, and can easily take input voltages of 22 volts. (I use them to test electronic throttles that come through for review.) As for the particulars, I'm not certain.

It is likely a 3v Led the resistors take care of dropping the voltage, I've never read the rings on the resistors inside but would likely be 680ohm to 1000ohm or more 1/4 to 1/2 watt but that's only a guess if you run your loco slow you could install the lower one but you risk a burn out if you run it fast.

Earlier this month I posted a link to a handy LED info web page, here it is again http://www.bcae1.com/led.htm

If it is a yellow or amber LED, it will only be rated for 2 volts, typically. Don't ask me how I know that    :P
