Quote from: TrainFan97 on October 16, 2024, 04:10:54 AMSo, N Scale Emily and her coaches will be available next month, but the set won't arrive until 2025. Guess I should be relieved because that means I'll just be getting N Scale Gordon and Henrietta next month, and won't have as big of a hole in my budget. I won't have the N Scale Emily set until a much later date, which gives me much more time to save up.

I pre-ordered the N Scale Emily set, rather than Emily and her coaches separately because I thought I might as well just get the set. I assume the Narrow Gauge slate wagon repaints are also going to be 2025 products.
We haven't heard anything about the slate wagon repaints to my knowledge but so far Hannah, the Emily set, high side wagons, the figures and Stanley are the only items confirmed for 2025 at the moment.

Sir Handel also won't be shipping until 2025, given that his painted sample hasn't been revealed yet, but he was shown unpainted fairly recently. We can still hope Sir Handel will be shown fully painted by the end of this year. Same for Stanley. The HO Scale figures should also be shipping in 2025.

Hope it won't be too much longer before we see unpainted samples of the HO Scale Open Carriage, Narrow Gauge Gondola, and N Scale Express Coaches. We most likely won't see N Scale Diesel/Paxton unpainted before 2025, but could be early 2025. It may not take terribly long to get N Scale Henry's unpainted sample since he is recycling Gordon's chassis (minus the trailing wheels), but the tender will be different, as well as the body mold having some differences. It may be a while before we see HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel.
My wishlist for HO Scale: Stepney, BoCo, Fernando, Norman, Den, Dart, Porter, Samson, Timothy, Whiff, Hiro, Winston, and Green Salty.
My wishlist for N Scale: Edward, Spencer, Flying Scotsman, Duck, Oliver, Mavis, Sidney, 'Arry and Bert.

If we don't see a painted Stanley before the end of the year I reckon he's delayed but Bachmann is pretty far into making him so I think we will see a painted sample before the end of the year.

N Scale Sudrian

I certainly hope that we get to see the first N Scale Paxton and Diesel samples before the year is over... Since December's Thomas Tuesday outings seem to always be lacking in reveals, it more or less leaves November as the last opportunity to show off anything new this year. And with how confident they sounded upon their announcement, you'd think there would be public-facing progress on them by now?
N Scale modeler. Primarily interested in UK and US outline stock, as well as the "Thomas" line.
Hoping for Edward and Mavis...

Awesometrain77

Stanley could be shown off next month I see that happening . We also know that a while back they had the N scale express coaches being worked on .
So my theory is November is gonna be N express coaches and Stanley .

For December I do think we could see a video of DCC thomas  and Percy it's been almost 4 years now would be a nice Christmas present from Bachmann

Salty is someone else  I think has been neglected I would prefer if before they start tooling the faces for Sidney and the mainland shunter . They  rework Salty's chassis .

Bachmann Duncan is still on the Bachmann Europe store is this hope? or they just haven't taken him off? yet I reckon it's the latter.

We've heard it directly from Bachmann he's been shelved. Bachmann UK/Europe just haven't had time to take the listing down yet. Given We've had the confirmation, I'm unsure why this even a question anymore. Bachmann in the UK and Europe have no input into products or production in the US besides making sure they are up to standard for the UK market. If that were the case Doug would have said "we are looking at him being made and sold in other territories" which would cause even more trouble.
Wishlist HO Stephen, Harvey, Porter, Hiro, Whiff. 009 Luke and Millie, N scale Edward, Duck and Daisy

Awesometrain77

Keep in mind Bachmann Europe is so beind we got N scale Emily before they got Ho/oo emily A EXISTING Model.
Both Bachmann Europe Thomas line and the N scale line were announced around the same time so it was a fair race .

Mulfred reminded me I myself have also contacted Bachmann UK regarding the topic of future engines, and this is a good way to move on from the other topic instead of going around in circles.. The TLDR is if you are a UK fan and want to see the line expanded, reach out to Bachmann UK with the suggestions, the more they hear them the more likely they are to pursue them. Adding on since this was not clear on the original post, this only applies to adding engines from the already existing U.S. line. Not creating new stuff. They don't do that, see forum moderators post below regarding the topic for further clarification. This is a more US based forum inherently, however I'm sure there may be some international fans who check here sometimes, so I hope this is a good resource for you if you want to see characters like Duck, Rosie, Emily, Diesel, etc. be potentially considered for the UK line.

You can also do the same for the US email, however based on the response I got back it's not as used for product suggestions as the UK line would be. Doesn't hurt to email them of course, as long as you don't overdo it and send multiple. Just be courteous with your responses
Hoping for bachmann Bradford, Charlie, Norman, Hiro, Nia, and Harvey

If people contact Bachmann Europe, something they can mention, among other things, that Bachmann UK already have the basis for Arthur, Murdoch, and Class 40. It would be a good idea to tell them that they have those character's basis so that they could either recolor those models into the characters like they did with Beau, or have a starting point for potential Arthur, Murdoch, and Class 40 models, that they do not need to design completely from scratch. Bachmann has already used a lot of Rolling Stock tooling's from Bachmann UK range.

Learning this now, I know the chances of a seen Rebecca in the UK are very low . Anyway, how would you guys feel about Streamlining Thomas being announced
It's honestly a popular variant and they could even make a turbo Thomas out of the tooling

Yard Master

Hi all,

Bachmann UK/Europe does not have oversight over any new items for the Thomas & Friends range. They have chosen to make select modifications to existing products such as releasing the HO locomotives with NEXT-18 connectors, but as far as brand new products/characters, they are very busy with their own projects. Any new product/character announcements will come from Bachmann USA and Bachmann UK is not going to make their own separate new projects. Nor will a character only be sold in other regions before first being sold in the US.

Thank you that's the very point I was trying to make in my original posts

Yard Master has spoken.

Bachmann UK has no input on upcoming products and any new product announcements will come from Bachmann USA. The only thing Bachmann UK does to Thomas models is modify existing products slightly to meet their standards and nothing more. They will not have their own separate new products for the Thomas range. Apparently, people were asking about that.

We still have no word on the DCC Sound models that will be available stateside, and the only clue is their product listing. They were announced in 2020, but still have yet to see light of day. The insane wait was mainly caused by the semiconductor shortage that went on at the time. Thomas was the only engine to be made using analog sound. Nonetheless, the DCC Sound Thomas and Percy have been on hold for over four years, and Salty's reintroduction has also been on indefinite hold for technical reasons.
My wishlist for HO Scale: Stepney, BoCo, Fernando, Norman, Den, Dart, Porter, Samson, Timothy, Whiff, Hiro, Winston, and Green Salty.
My wishlist for N Scale: Edward, Spencer, Flying Scotsman, Duck, Oliver, Mavis, Sidney, 'Arry and Bert.
