Dd40x The Centennial

I purchased on of these amazing engines at a train show for my dad for Christmas, after running it for a while it sounded like it needed some oil. So we took the motors apart and cleaned them up, oiled it up and now when we run it, it seems to be shorting causing the overload to come on. Anyone have any ideas or maybe a place to get replacement parts for this engine?

Why not just try to find the intermittent short?  In Ground Power school, they taught us to "Isolate, locate, and eradicate!"  It worked on MD-3s on the flight line, and it has worked in my trade for years; I carry that thinking into all facets of everyday life.  Finding a short isn't all that hard on something as confined as a HO scale locomotive.  If you don't already have one, pick up a good-NOT expensive-volt/ohm/ meter.  Chances are it is something like a piece if conductive junk in the right place to give you misery untold.  Also, check your track-work.
