Auto-Reverse Trolley Adaptation

Anyone (maybe Mr. Yardmaster) know if the auto-reverse feature in the trolley set can be adapted to standard flex track?  Our club is putting in an HO trolley line, but we won't have the necessary reverse loops in place before our Christmas show.  We were wondering if we could adapt the electronics such that we could run the 12 feet or so of trolley track and use the Birney for the back and forth without constant supervision.  Thoughts?

Sure!
Just connect the metal clips under the track sections at each end of the flex track with wire.
I did this on the latest Sodor layout and it works fine!
