What has happened to the stock cars?

Hey there Mr. Bachmann,

It seems like we have been waiting for the D&RGW stock cars for an awfully long time now. Have they been forgotten in the excitement to get out the 4-6-0's and announce the articulateds? Also, will they be a prototypical black car with white lettering (hopefully), or more of the same old boring oxide brown with black roofs like all the other On30 box & stock cars? Bachmann really needs to break away from those brown cars with black roofs for a change...

I also see that Walthers has stopped listing all but the undec, C&S, and D&RGW stock cars, and both the C&S and undecs are listed as "sold out" (their D&RGW release date seems like it's always a few months away). Will they be re-run if and when the D&RGW cars are released, or are they discontinued like the B&O, GN, and OR&W?

Regards,
Bill

Dear Bill,
They'll be black with white lettering.
Next year's road names haven't been decided upon as yet.
Have fun!

Could I suggest CM&StP? I think there are lots of choices for East and West coast roads on the market already.  No one offers anything for the midwestern modelers.

The Chicago Milwaukee and St. Paul (evolved into the Milwaukee Road) operated many narrow gauge railroads in the midwest, most notably the Bellevue, Cascade and Western in Iowa.

Thanks Mr. Bachmann!

Please remind the powers that be that there are several locos that Bachmann has already produced that are lettered in road names for which Bachmann has produced little or no rolling stock, the latest of which is the ET&WNC 4-6-0, and the SR&RL Forneys. Some new mid-Western roadnames would be nice, as would some more EBT, but there are no locos yet available in those roadnames to pull them. Therefore, roads like ET&WNC, Linville River, Sandy River, and SR&RL should be at the top of the list. Also, Bachmann should consider doing any new runs of previously existing cars with new roadnumbers, much like Micro-Trains does in N scale.

Regards,
Bill
