Backwoods Miniatures--close-couplers

Hi,
Backwoods Miniatures sells a close-coupler for the On30 ORE cars.  The picture on their web site shows the cars so closely coupled that they would not negotiate any tight radius.  Now, they probably do negotiate tight radius's, but does anyone have actual experience with these couplers?

I have some and they negotiate the 7.5" radius curves on my mining micro fine.
Pulling the cars will be a little better than pushing the cars.
