just getting started,have some older engines,one is a walters,and one is a bachmann,,both are diesel, can i convert them to dcc and what kind of transformers do i need,hope to get some help, thanks sam

There are many good web sites, most of the DCC manufactures have information, as well as some retailers.  You may want to look at http://tonysdcc.com/tonystips/dccprimer/index.htm as well as others.

If there is a local model railroad club that uses DCC the members may be able to help you.
