DCC Decoder

Is it possible for me to install a DCC Decoder in my G scale Rio Grande Speeder #96256? If so, what decoder would you recommend?

Digitrax, and I am sure others as well, makes a 5 amp decoder for G scale locomotives. It is the DG583S. As for instructions on doing the install, you're on your own. It looks like it's a hardwire job. I've done these in alot of HO locomotives, and most of the time they're pretty easy to do if you understand how the locomotive, or in your case speeder, picks up current. The biggest thing is to make sure the motor, and any lights you may have, are isolated from the chassis. Once you do that, it's usually as simple as hooking up the appropriate wires.
