Heisler sound module substitute

I recently purchased a Bachmann Spectrum On30 Heisler.  Unfortunately the plug and play sound module is no longer being manufactured and I cannot find anyone with stocks. Does anyone know if I can substitute Buchmann's #44959 sound module for 0-6-0 into my Heisler.

Is it worth the gamble?
The pcb is the same only other firmware content.

I'm really unsure $80 bucks for this module (plug and play). In comparison to over $200 for a normal one (which includes installation).  I may need to consider It a bit more - unless some out there has done this before and it has worked.
