Bach-man, Yardmaster,

Looking at the new 2017 catalog it shows the new Large Scale NP&S Reindeer Stock car as having the product number 98704.  But the only photos I have seen of the actual product show the product number as 98703.   Is there a 98703 made for a special customer, and 98704 for normal distribution??

Please let me know so I can have the correct info for the historical record.

Thanks,

Loco Bill

Hi Bill,

Found it. Frontgate #153910 $119.50.

Good going Wade,

When I originally checked the Frontgate offerings last November I completely missed what they were offering.  When I went back I clicked on the Night before Christmas set and saw all the other Bachmann Large Scale items including the Reindeer Transport.  I just didn't scroll down.

So looks like 98703 was produced for Frontgate, and 98704 is for general distribution to the hobby industry.

Bach-man or Yardmaster, can you confirm this??

Wade, I can't see any differences between the two, have you found any yet??

Dear Loco Bill,
We just added a new number for internal book-keeping to differentiate between Frontgate and the Bachmann catalog. It's the same car.

Hi Inside Track,

Thanks for the explanation.  I will annotate the master database of Bachmann Large Scale rolling stock to reflect the information you provided.

Even tho it is the same car will the printed boxes for the Catalog Item actually be marked as 98704??
