Shell replacement for BL 2

Have a BL 2 that was purchased for little hands. It was accidentally dropped and the shell cracked.
Bench checked and test ran the locomotive . . .all is fine.
I need a new shell (Western Maryland, fireball emblem), are they available because the crack in the shell is pretty bad.
Where would you go about finding this item?

Here is an idea that should work for any scale or make:

Remove the shell and glue up the crack with superglue from the inside.  The thick kind might work best.  Tape across the crack, again on the inside, with clear tape.
