loss of power

I have approx  40 ft. of track and my engine and 2 cars will barely make it around the diameter of the layout.  I am sure that I am not explaining things properly but being a neophite???

check out your wires to the track and add more to the other side ,i had to run more wires to the other side to feed power to get the trains to run even all the way around
