from DCC to DCC with sound

Hi,

What's the best way to convert a train with DCC to a train with DCC plus sound?  I have the Digital Commander track set and was wanting to add sound to 1 or both of the diesel locomotives.

Hunt weote "You should notice you need another DCC system (or access to one) capable of programming the necessary CVs to set the decoder. Be sure to buy the decoder with the correct sounds for your type and model diesel."

Do I understand from this that if you have reached the point of adding sound to locomotives you have outgrown the E-Z Command and should cosider other starter systems such as a Digitrax zeohyr or a NCE Power cab?
